What is an "Editable" site?

Incredible as it may seem, we are now able to offer web pages within a web site, or entire web sites, that can be edited by anyone.

This means web sites can be created with content that can be updated either by your own company, or by any of your customers, suppliers, contacts, members etc.

When and how is this useful

There are a huge range of situations this inexpensive technology is invaluable. They include allowing members of groups to share information with each other, company's providing basic training manuals which they or their users can enhance, collation of information of special interest groups without cost, co-ordination of meetings and distribution of minutes etc.

Using simple technology

The very simple technology used is called "Wiki". Just as EMail and WebBrowsing software works through its simplicity, Wiki, too, is a very simple technology. Its simplicity is its power. By providing limited, but immensely practical, facilities, the system is easy to use and very flexible.

We have set up a sample site to illustrate the facilities. Click on the image to see the site.

All pages within the site can be updated. On the site is a help system to explain the handful of facilities you will want to achieve just about everything you see within the site. There is also an "Experiment" area in which you are free to enter your own text/details to see just how easy the site is to update.
